About the Role
Our client, a leading building services consultancy operating in Manchester , is looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to spearhead the design of sophisticated heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will be responsible for developing innovative and energy-efficient solutions for a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects across the UK, contributing to sustainable building design from a remote capacity, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies within a collaborative team environment that values expertise and forward-thinking approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify HVAC systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with building regulations and energy efficiency standards.
- Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Conduct energy modeling and performance simulations to optimize system efficiency.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare tender documentation and assist with the procurement process.
- Provide technical support and site supervision during the installation and commissioning phases.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience as an HVAC Design Engineer , with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit MEP) and HVAC design tools (e.g., IES VE, Hevacomp).
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
