HVAC Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated HVAC Installation Technician to join their expanding team based in Birmingham . This role is integral to ensuring that our clients' heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are installed to the highest standards, providing comfort and efficiency for commercial and domestic properties. You will work on a variety of projects, from new builds to retrofitting existing structures, requiring precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems , including ductwork, refrigeration units, and control systems, in accordance with design specifications and building codes.
• Perform pressure and leak tests on refrigerant lines, ensuring system integrity.
• Connect electrical components and controls, following wiring diagrams and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project timelines are met.
• Conduct post-installation checks and system commissioning, verifying performance against requirements.
• Provide basic user training on the operation and maintenance of installed HVAC equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC installation , with a strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and airflow principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting HVAC blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with various types of HVAC equipment and tools.
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in HVAC installation are highly desirable.
• Good physical condition, able to lift heavy equipment and work in various site conditions.
• Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel throughout the Birmingham area.
