HVAC Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a specialized HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Leeds . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a diverse range of projects. Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and distribution networks.
• Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and performance simulations for HVAC systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with design intent and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC system performance and maintenance.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate HVAC designs seamlessly.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in HVAC system design and project management.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Trace 700).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and building energy efficiency standards.
• Experience with sustainable design principles and low-carbon technologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid setup.
