About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Hydrogen Economy Strategist to develop and advance their initiatives within the rapidly growing hydrogen energy sector in Sheffield . This role is crucial for identifying opportunities, developing business cases, and formulating strategies for the production, storage, transport, and utilization of hydrogen as a clean energy vector. You will engage with stakeholders across industry, government, and research institutions to shape policy and drive market development. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate comprehensive strategies for the company's involvement in the hydrogen value chain, from production to end-use applications.
- Conduct market analysis, feasibility studies, and economic assessments for potential hydrogen projects and investments.
- Engage with industry partners, government agencies, and research bodies to foster collaboration and influence policy development.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and innovations in hydrogen production, storage, and transport.
- Prepare business cases, proposals, and reports to support strategic decision-making and secure project funding.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical), Energy Systems, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy sector, with demonstrable expertise in hydrogen technologies , markets, or policy.
- Strong understanding of different hydrogen production methods (e.g., green, blue), storage solutions, and potential end-use applications (e.g., transport, industry, power generation).
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and business development skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex concepts effectively.
