About the Role

Our client is recruiting a diligent Hygiene Operative to uphold stringent cleanliness and sanitation standards within their food production facility in Bradford . This role is critical to ensuring product safety and compliance with food industry regulations. You will be responsible for detailed cleaning and disinfection of production areas, equipment, and machinery, contributing directly to the integrity of the food manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food hygiene principles and a commitment to maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning and sanitisation of production machinery and equipment according to schedule.
• Clean and disinfect floors, walls, and ceilings in processing and packaging areas.
• Manage chemical usage, ensuring correct dilution and application for effective sanitation.
• Follow strict food safety protocols and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standard.
• Dispose of waste and by-products in a hygienic and compliant manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food production hygiene or cleaning role is highly desirable.
• Understanding of HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and schedules accurately.
• Physical fitness for manual cleaning tasks, often in wet or cold environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high hygiene standards.
• Willingness to wear protective clothing and adhere to strict gowning procedures in Bradford .
