About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Hygiene Operative to contribute to maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and sanitation within their facility in Sunderland . This role is fundamental to ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment, particularly important in sectors with stringent hygiene requirements. You will be involved in detailed cleaning procedures, sanitation tasks, and the upkeep of designated areas, working closely with the site management team to implement best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach to tasks, and a strong commitment to upholding hygiene protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute thorough cleaning and sanitization routines across all assigned areas of the facility, including production zones, restrooms, and staff facilities.
• Implement and adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and properly stored.
• Conduct regular checks and reports on the condition of hygiene standards within the premises.
• Assist with specialized deep cleaning tasks and scheduled maintenance of hygiene-related equipment.
• Follow all Health and Safety guidelines, including the proper use of chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and hygiene standards .
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures accurately.
• Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
• Willingness to work flexible hours if required, contributing to a consistent hygiene coverage.
