In-House Corporate Counsel

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced In-House Corporate Counsel to join their expanding legal team in Coventry . This role is crucial for supporting the company's growth and ensuring robust legal frameworks are in place for all business activities. You will handle a broad spectrum of legal matters, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property, offering strategic advice to senior management. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organisation in the West Midlands, working on challenging and varied legal projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on all aspects of corporate law, including company formation, shareholder agreements, and compliance matters.
• Manage and execute mergers and acquisitions , due diligence processes, and post-acquisition integration.
• Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and other legal documents.
• Support the legal aspects of fundraising activities and corporate restructurings.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
• A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably gained in-house or within a reputable law firm's corporate department.
• Demonstrated expertise in corporate finance and M&A transactions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure in Coventry .
