In-House Counsel (Remote)

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding tech company, is seeking a proactive and adaptable In-House Counsel to join their legal department on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial in supporting the company's global operations by providing comprehensive legal guidance on commercial contracts, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. You will work closely with various business units, offering practical legal solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, and partnership deals.
• Advise on compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Manage intellectual property portfolios, including trademark and patent filings and enforcement.
• Assist with corporate governance matters and regulatory filings.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely, pragmatic advice on a wide range of legal issues impacting the business.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with in-house or technology sector exposure.
• Strong understanding of commercial law, contract negotiation, and intellectual property.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage a varied workload effectively in a remote setting.
