In-House Counsel - Remote

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced In-House Counsel to join their expanding legal department. This is a fully remote position, offering significant flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across various business functions, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and litigation management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks, contributing to the company's growth and operational integrity in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including corporate law, employment law, and intellectual property.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements and service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK and international laws and regulations.
• Manage external legal counsel and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures to support business operations.
• Conduct legal training sessions for internal stakeholders on relevant legal topics.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales, with a strong academic record.
• Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in a corporate in-house setting or a commercial law firm.
• Proven ability to provide practical and commercially sound legal advice.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and general corporate advisory work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting.
