About the Role
Our client, a prominent organisation based in Coventry, West Midlands , is seeking a dedicated In-House Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and supplier contracts.
- Provide legal advice on employment law matters, policies, and disputes.
- Manage and oversee litigation, working with external counsel when necessary.
- Advise on intellectual property protection, registration, and enforcement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements impacting the business.
- Conduct legal research and prepare reports on various legal issues affecting the company.
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong background in commercial contract law and general corporate law.
- Experience in employment law and intellectual property matters is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team in Coventry .
- Membership with the Solicitors Regulation Authority or Bar Council.
