In-House Counsel

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and adaptable In-House Counsel to join their legal department, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is integral to supporting the company's growth and ensuring robust legal compliance across all operations. You will be instrumental in managing a wide array of legal challenges, fostering strong relationships with internal teams, and contributing to a culture of proactive risk management from your remote workspace. This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while engaging in impactful legal work.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise business units on legal matters, including intellectual property, data protection, and employment law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, licenses, and partnership deals.
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters, working with external counsel where necessary.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide training to staff on legal and compliance topics.
• Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an in-house counsel or in a reputable law firm.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment , managing priorities and deadlines independently.
• Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) is highly desirable.
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
