In-House Counsel

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and proactive In-House Counsel to join their growing legal department based in Coventry . This role is integral to providing comprehensive legal support across all business functions, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, and dispute resolution. You will be a key advisor to senior management and various departments, ensuring that the company operates within legal and ethical boundaries while supporting its strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and contracts.
• Provide timely legal advice on employment matters, including contracts, policies, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK and international laws and regulations.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, working with external counsel when necessary.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Support the business on corporate transactions and projects as required.

Requirements

• A qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in-house or in private practice.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and corporate governance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse legal workload and prioritizing effectively.
