In-House Legal Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive In-House Legal Advisor to join their established legal team in Birmingham . This role is crucial for supporting the company's operations by providing essential legal guidance and ensuring all business activities comply with UK law. You will work closely with various departments, offering practical advice on a broad spectrum of legal issues. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, capable of translating complex legal concepts into actionable business strategies, contributing significantly to the smooth functioning of the organization within the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on day-to-day business operations, including contract management and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and amend contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
• Assist in managing litigation, claims, and dispute resolution processes effectively and efficiently.
• Advise on employment law, health and safety, and corporate compliance matters within the organisation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on relevant legal developments impacting the business.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when specialised advice or representation is required.

Requirements

• Solicitor or Barrister with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in commercial law, corporate law, or employment law is essential.
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing various types of legal agreements.
• Strong understanding of UK legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment based in Birmingham .
