In-House Legal Advisor

About the Role

Our client in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a dedicated In-House Legal Advisor to bolster their legal team. Key Responsibilities

• Review and advise on all legal aspects of company operations and commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, working with external counsel when necessary.
• Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
• Provide legal support for marketing, sales, and operational teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on mitigation strategies for legal and commercial risks.

Requirements

• Law degree and admitted to practice law in the UK.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate or commercial law.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, company law, and relevant UK regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a varied workload.
• Experience in a similar in-house role is highly desirable.
