In-House Legal Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive In-House Legal Advisor to join their burgeoning legal team in Manchester, Greater Manchester . This role is central to providing timely and accurate legal guidance on a broad spectrum of commercial and transactional matters. You will be instrumental in drafting, reviewing, and advising on contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation, and supporting the company's operational and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and supply contracts.
• Advise business stakeholders on legal risks and implications associated with commercial activities.
• Ensure compliance with UK company law, data protection regulations (GDPR), and other relevant legislation.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademark registration and enforcement.
• Support the legal team on corporate restructuring and transactional projects as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to non-legal staff on key legal and compliance matters.

Requirements

• A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with some in-house exposure.
• Strong understanding of commercial law , contract drafting, and corporate compliance in the UK.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide clear, concise legal advice.
• Proficiency in using legal research databases and standard office software.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritize effectively in a dynamic setting.
