In-House Legal Counsel - Contracts

About the Role

Our client is seeking an astute and proactive In-House Legal Counsel with a strong focus on contract law to join their growing team in Bradford . This role is instrumental in supporting the commercial and operational functions of the business by providing expert legal advice on a wide array of contractual matters. You will play a key role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, ensuring legal compliance and protecting the company's interests. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including service agreements, supply contracts, and NDAs.
• Advise business stakeholders on contractual risks, liabilities, and compliance issues.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, ensuring proper execution, filing, and renewal processes are followed.
• Provide legal support for procurement activities and supplier relationships.
• Assist in developing and implementing contract management policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research on relevant commercial law matters affecting the business.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial contract law.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating a high volume of complex commercial agreements.
• Solid understanding of UK contract law, commercial practices, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid working capacity within our Bradford office.
