In-House Legal Counsel - Technology

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly competent In-House Legal Counsel specializing in technology to join their fully remote legal team. You will be responsible for providing legal advice on a wide range of technology-related matters, including software licensing, intellectual property, data protection, and commercial contracts. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate technology and commercial agreements, including SaaS, software licenses, and development agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and advise on data security matters.
• Support the product development teams on legal aspects of new technologies and services.
• Manage and resolve technology-related disputes and regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on technology and commercial law.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating technology-related contracts.
• Solid understanding of intellectual property law and data protection regulations.
• Ability to provide clear, concise, and pragmatic legal advice to business stakeholders.
• Excellent self-management skills and proficiency in remote collaboration tools.
