About the Role

Our client is recruiting a robust and dependable Industrial Cleaner to work within their facilities in Sunderland . This role is hands-on and requires a strong understanding of industrial cleaning processes to maintain a safe, clean, and operational working environment. You will be responsible for cleaning machinery, equipment, and general industrial areas, ensuring compliance with stringent health and safety standards. This is a critical position supporting the smooth operation of industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and degrease industrial machinery, equipment, and floors.
• Remove industrial waste and hazardous materials safely, following specific procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness in production areas, warehouses, and workshops.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment, such as pressure washers and floor scrubbers.
• Ensure all work is conducted in strict accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Respond to spillages and emergencies, performing immediate clean-up actions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or a similar heavy-duty cleaning role.
• Knowledge of handling industrial chemicals and waste disposal procedures.
• Certification or experience operating relevant industrial cleaning machinery.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulations.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in potentially challenging environments.
