About the Role

Our client is recruiting a robust and dependable Industrial Cleaner to service their facilities in Sunderland . This role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly working environment within industrial settings, which may include factories, warehouses, and workshops. You will handle specialised cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to safety procedures and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will be physically fit, capable of working with industrial cleaning equipment, and possess a strong awareness of workplace safety protocols, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and safety compliance of the premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of industrial machinery, equipment, and workspaces.
• Conduct deep cleaning of floors, walls, and ceilings in large industrial areas.
• Handle hazardous waste disposal and specialised cleaning procedures as required.
• Operate and maintain industrial cleaning machinery, such as pressure washers and floor buffers.
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an industrial cleaner or in a similar physically demanding role.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning chemicals, solvents, and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks effectively.
