About the Role

Our client is seeking a robust and experienced Industrial Cleaner to maintain the hygiene and safety standards within their manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Birmingham . This role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment, preventing contamination, and upholding the operational integrity of the site. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for deep cleaning industrial equipment, managing waste streams, and ensuring compliance with stringent health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning of industrial machinery, production lines, and factory floors, including the removal of grease, oil, and debris.
• Manage and dispose of industrial waste materials, including hazardous substances, in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Perform deep cleaning of high-risk areas such as chemical storage zones and waste processing units.
• Operate specialized industrial cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, industrial vacuums, and floor scrubbers.
• Monitor and maintain hygiene levels in associated facilities like workshops, break rooms, and restrooms within the industrial site.
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and environmental legislation.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an industrial cleaner or in a similar heavy-duty cleaning role is essential.
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling and COSHH regulations is mandatory.
• Proficiency in operating industrial cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance within an industrial setting.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to follow complex instructions.
