Industrial Cleaner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and efficient Industrial Cleaner to maintain a pristine environment within their manufacturing facility in Birmingham . This role involves thorough cleaning of production areas, machinery, and associated facilities to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and operational safety. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of operations by maintaining a clean and safe workspace, preventing contamination, and contributing to a positive working atmosphere for all employees. This is an essential role for operational integrity and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production machinery, equipment, and surrounding areas according to established protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness in workshops, warehouses, loading docks, and office spaces within the industrial site.
• Handle and dispose of industrial waste and materials safely and responsibly.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks during scheduled maintenance shutdowns or as required.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and consumables in designated areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations , including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Previous experience in an industrial cleaning role or similar environment.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to perform demanding cleaning tasks, including working at heights or in confined spaces if necessary.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in attending shifts.
• Awareness of COSHH regulations and safe chemical handling.
