Industrial Electrician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and certified Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team in Reading . This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems and machinery within our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions in machinery and control systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability of electrical infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with current safety regulations and standards.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and perform necessary repairs to restore service.

Requirements

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., City & Guilds).
• Proven experience working with industrial electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and PLCs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety principles and practices.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Must possess a valid UK driver's license.
