About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified Industrial Electrician to join their engineering and maintenance team in Portsmouth . This role is essential for maintaining the electrical systems and machinery that power our client's operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will be responsible for a wide range of electrical tasks, from installation and maintenance to fault finding and repair, playing a vital role in the smooth running of the facility in Hampshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, machinery, and control systems.
• Diagnose electrical problems using testing instruments and troubleshoot faults promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment according to schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• Proven experience working as an industrial electrician.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, PLC basics, and variable speed drives.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving license and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces if required.
