About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Industrial Engineer with expertise in logistics and supply chain management to join their operations in Bristol . This role is critical in optimizing the flow of goods, materials, and information throughout our supply chain. You will analyze existing logistics networks, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and implement solutions that reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with warehouse, transportation, and planning teams to ensure a streamlined and effective supply chain operation. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current supply chain and logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized warehouse layouts, inventory management systems, and transportation routes.
- Develop and utilize simulation models to test the impact of proposed changes to the supply chain.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to improve coordination and reduce lead times.
- Implement lean principles within logistics operations to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, focusing on logistics and supply chain optimization.
- Strong understanding of logistics networks , warehousing, and transportation management.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and simulation software relevant to supply chains.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems) is a plus.
