About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Industrial Engineer with a focus on Operations Optimization to join their established team in Bradford . This role is critical in driving efficiency and effectiveness across their manufacturing and operational functions. You will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall quality. Working within a collaborative environment, you will partner with various departments to streamline workflows and implement sustainable operational improvements in Bradford .
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for efficiency gains.
- Design, develop, and implement improved workflows, layouts, and material handling systems.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve quality.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Collect and analyze production data to track performance metrics and identify trends.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation of improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process improvement role.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and relevant software (e.g., Excel, Visio).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
