Industrial Engineer - Operations

About the Role

Our client, a leader in innovative logistics and distribution, is looking for a proactive Industrial Engineer - Operations to enhance their operational capabilities in Southampton . This role is critical in analyzing and optimizing workflows, improving facility layouts, and implementing efficiency-driven solutions within our operational framework. You will work closely with operations managers and front-line staff to identify opportunities for process enhancement, cost reduction, and overall productivity gains. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and workflow processes.
• Implement lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, including SOPs and process flowcharts.
• Collaborate with operations teams to implement process changes and provide training.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or operations-focused role.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing , Six Sigma, and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in simulation software, CAD, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
