Industrial Engineer - Process Improvement Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer specializing in Process Improvement to join their established team in Edinburgh . In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously analyzing existing operational procedures, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce operational costs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement optimized workflows, layouts, and systems utilizing industrial engineering principles .
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process efficiency.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production staff, quality control, and management, to implement and sustain process improvements.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role with a focus on process improvement.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization in Edinburgh .
