Industrial Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Process Optimization to join their manufacturing plant in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness of our core manufacturing processes. You will apply advanced engineering principles and analytical techniques to identify inefficiencies, design improved workflows, and implement robust solutions. As an integral member of the on-site engineering team, you will play a key part in maintaining and elevating our operational standards through focused, hands-on engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop targeted optimization strategies.
• Design, develop, and implement improved manufacturing layouts and workflows using CAD and simulation tools.
• Lead projects focused on waste reduction, cycle time improvement, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Develop and implement performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor process health.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and line operators to ensure effective implementation and sustainment of optimized processes.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, process simulation software, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Excellent technical documentation and presentation abilities.
