Industrial Engineer - Project Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Industrial Engineer to serve as a Project Lead for key operational improvements at their Oxford facility. This role requires a skilled individual capable of managing projects from initiation to completion, focusing on enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, developing innovative solutions, and leading cross-functional teams to implement these changes successfully. The ideal candidate possesses strong project management skills, a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, and a proven ability to deliver tangible results in a dynamic manufacturing or operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of industrial engineering projects focused on process optimization.
• Analyze existing operational workflows, identify areas for improvement, and develop data-driven solutions.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage resources effectively to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments, including operations, manufacturing, and R&D, to ensure alignment and buy-in.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques and statistical process control (SPC) methods to drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering , with demonstrated experience in project leadership.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish, within defined timelines and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for managing project teams and stakeholders.
