Industrial Engineer - Supply Chain Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Industrial Engineer with expertise in supply chain optimization to join their team. This is a remote-first role, allowing you to contribute to enhancing logistics and operational efficiency for their operations, including those near Cambridge . You will analyze end-to-end supply chain processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategic solutions to improve flow, reduce costs, and increase overall performance. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data-driven decision-making, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, geographically dispersed teams to implement impactful changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and map current supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency and cost.
• Develop and implement optimized logistics, warehousing, and distribution strategies.
• Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to forecast demand, manage inventory, and improve network design.
• Design and implement process improvements using lean principles and other optimization methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, manufacturing, sales) and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain effectiveness and identify trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on supply chain and logistics.
• Proven experience in supply chain optimization , logistics management, and process improvement.
• Proficiency in supply chain modeling software, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python), and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
