Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Industrial Engineer to join their operations in Norwich, Norfolk . This role is crucial for supporting the optimization of manufacturing and operational processes. You will analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and assist in the implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong analytical skills, and work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes, workflows, and plant layouts to identify inefficiencies.
• Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements to increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Collect and analyze production data to support decision-making and track performance.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement solutions and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
