About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Industrial Engineer to contribute to their operational excellence initiatives in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role involves optimising manufacturing processes, improving workflow efficiency, and implementing cost-effective solutions. You will work collaboratively with production teams and management, applying engineering principles to enhance productivity and product quality. This hybrid role offers a balanced approach to work, combining office-based strategy with on-site implementation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse production data and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement improved manufacturing layouts, material handling systems, and workstations.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance operational flow.
• Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and cost estimations for process changes.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies, ensuring effective integration into existing operations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
• Familiarity with process optimisation techniques and tools.
• Basic understanding of CAD software and simulation principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
