About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Derby . This role is focused on optimizing production processes, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with production staff and management to identify opportunities for improvement, implement lean manufacturing principles, and contribute to cost reduction efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for improved efficiency and throughput.
- Design and implement effective plant layouts and workstations to optimize material flow and ergonomics.
- Conduct time studies and motion analyses to establish performance standards and improve productivity.
- Support the implementation and sustainment of lean manufacturing tools and techniques, such as 5S and visual management.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance against targets and identify areas for corrective action.
- Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues and implement preventive measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 1-3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for layout design and basic data analysis skills.
- Good understanding of production planning and control systems.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and effective communication skills.
