About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join their team in Sheffield . This role is crucial for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring the effective use of resources. You will work directly with production teams on the factory floor to identify challenges and implement practical engineering solutions. This is an on-site position ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and contributing directly to operational improvements within a busy industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and facility layouts.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and improving product quality.
• Implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate closely with production staff, supervisors, and management to execute improvements.
• Track and report on the performance of implemented changes and suggest further optimizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing role.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools such as 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment and communicate technical information clearly.
