Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and results-oriented Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Glasgow, Scotland . This role is crucial for driving efficiency improvements, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and output. You will be responsible for analyzing existing systems, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing solutions that reduce waste and increase productivity. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams and management to achieve operational excellence and support the company's growth objectives in a hands-on capacity within their Glasgow facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions for process improvement.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
• Design and improve factory layouts, material handling systems, and production line balancing.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Monitor production performance, track key metrics, and report on progress towards operational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
