About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this role, you will be essential in enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining production processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality. You will work on-site with manufacturing teams, leveraging your analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions for improvement.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity.
• Design factory layouts, workflow, and equipment utilization to optimize operational output.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates for proposed process changes and capital investments.
• Collaborate with production staff, management, and other engineers to ensure successful implementation of new processes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to process changes and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for data interpretation.
• Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, essential for a hybrid work model.
