Industrial Engineering Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineering Lead to spearhead optimization efforts at their facility in Belfast . This leadership position is critical for driving strategic initiatives focused on enhancing manufacturing efficiency, reducing operational costs, and implementing cutting-edge process improvements. You will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers, analyzing complex production data, and developing innovative solutions to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, and a proven ability to manage large-scale projects that deliver measurable results, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the entire site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency gains using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Analyze complex production data, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment layouts.
• Manage cross-functional project teams to ensure successful adoption of process improvements and new technologies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices within all operational areas in Belfast .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in industrial engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt certification strongly preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including scope definition, budgeting, and timeline management.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
