Industrial Engineering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their team in Norwich . This role offers a hybrid working model, providing a blend of remote flexibility and essential on-site leadership for their manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for overseeing all industrial engineering activities, driving process improvements, and ensuring optimal operational efficiency. This is a key management position with the opportunity to significantly influence the direction and performance of the engineering department and overall plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of industrial and process engineers.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Oversee the design and optimization of production processes, facility layouts, and material flow.
• Champion the application of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies across the site.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices in workplace safety.
• Collaborate with other department managers to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the industrial engineering function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification highly desirable).
• Proven experience in managing engineering projects and leading teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage responsibilities in a hybrid work environment.
