About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team in Cambridge . This leadership role is critical for driving operational efficiency, implementing innovative process improvements, and managing capital projects across the organization. You will be responsible for setting the direction for industrial engineering initiatives, mentoring your team, and ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers , setting clear performance objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for process optimization, automation, and operational efficiency improvements across all business units.
- Oversee the management of major capital investment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet specified objectives.
- Implement and champion advanced lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
- Establish robust systems for monitoring operational performance, identifying trends, and driving data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale operational improvement projects and managing engineering teams.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt certification highly desirable), and advanced statistical analysis.
- Strong experience in project management, financial analysis, and capital justification.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
