About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their dedicated team in Leeds . This management position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of industrial engineering operations, including process improvement, workflow optimization, and resource planning. You will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, driving cost reductions, and ensuring the successful implementation of strategic initiatives across manufacturing and logistics departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of industrial engineers, fostering their professional development and performance.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for process optimization, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of new manufacturing processes, systems, and facility layouts.
- Ensure the effective utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, through robust planning and scheduling.
- Collaborate with senior management and other department heads to align industrial engineering strategies with overall business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational efficiency and progress towards targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is desirable.
