About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their established industrial engineering department in Bristol, South West England . This senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of industrial engineering, including process optimization, layout design, productivity improvements, and capital project support. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, set departmental objectives, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals for operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers, fostering their professional development and performance.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Oversee the design and implementation of facility layouts, production lines, and material handling systems for the Bristol operations.
• Lead the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles across the organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for technological advancements and automation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all engineering projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and supply chain principles.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
