About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their dedicated team in Derby, Derbyshire, UK . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of industrial engineering within the organization, driving efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement across multiple operational areas. You will set strategic direction, manage project portfolios, and mentor a team of skilled engineers, ensuring that best practices are implemented and maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the industrial engineering team, setting goals and providing performance feedback.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for process optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
- Oversee the selection, design, and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and systems.
- Ensure adherence to Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Manage budgets and resources for industrial engineering projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced process improvement techniques.
- Strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
