Industrial Engineering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their team in Nottingham , operating under a hybrid work arrangement. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all industrial engineering functions, driving operational efficiency, and implementing innovative solutions across the company's manufacturing and supply chain operations. You will be instrumental in developing and executing long-term strategies for process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers to achieve departmental and company objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for continuous improvement, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Oversee the design, analysis, and optimization of production processes, facility layouts, and material handling systems.
• Manage major capital projects related to automation, equipment upgrades, and new process introductions.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure rigorous monitoring and reporting of operational performance.
• Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with overall business goals.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership capacity.
• Extensive knowledge and practical application of lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and supply chain management principles.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
