About the Role

Our client seeks a highly skilled Industrial Equipment Installer to join their operational team based in Sunderland . This role is critical for the successful setup and commissioning of heavy machinery and industrial systems within manufacturing and production facilities. You will be responsible for the safe and precise installation, alignment, and initial testing of complex equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical assembly, safety protocols, and troubleshooting in an industrial environment, contributing to a legacy of excellence in installation and maintenance services across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and erect heavy industrial machinery and equipment as per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform precision alignment and calibration of installed equipment.
• Conduct initial operational tests and system checks to ensure correct functionality.
• Adhere to all site-specific safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and site managers to coordinate installation activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or electrical issues encountered during installation.

Requirements

• Significant experience in industrial installation , heavy machinery rigging, or mechanical fitting.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for installation and measurement.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and industrial safety standards.
• Good physical condition and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills for site coordination.
