About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their operational team in Sunderland . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of various industrial machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment failures, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. This position requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production teams to ensure all equipment meets rigorous operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures promptly and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and implement immediate corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the shop floor.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or in a similar hands-on role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to work with various tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and machinery operation.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a demanding industrial setting in Sunderland .
