Industrial Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Cambridge . This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all plant machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing preventative maintenance, and implementing strategies to minimize downtime. The successful candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance, contributing directly to the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of repairs and services.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS software.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
