About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Fitter to join their manufacturing operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of production machinery. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment, utilizing your mechanical expertise to diagnose and rectify faults. The successful candidate will be proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures to uphold equipment reliability and safety standards within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of production machinery and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs, including welding, pipe fitting, and component replacement.
• Install new machinery and equipment according to technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifespan.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and service manuals to guide repair and installation activities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment status.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Fitter or in a comparable engineering role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery and systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, including CAD drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand, power, and precision tools.
• Commitment to health and safety best practices in an industrial setting.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team in Stoke-on-Trent .
