Industrial Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to join their thriving production facility in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is fundamental to enhancing the efficiency, quality, and output of our manufacturing operations through the application of sound engineering principles. You will be involved in designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet production demands and cost targets. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing technologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing directly to the plant's operational success and competitive edge within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and production lines to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistent product quality and safe operating practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams on new product introductions, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
• Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing technologies and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs within the Bradford facility.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive operational excellence in West Yorkshire .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related manufacturing discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment on the factory floor.
