About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Industrial Operations Engineer to contribute to the efficiency and optimisation of their manufacturing operations in Nottingham . This role is essential for analysing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality output. You will work closely with production teams and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain operational excellence within a dynamic industrial environment. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse current production processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for enhancement in efficiency and throughput.
• Design and implement process improvements, focusing on workflow optimisation, layout changes, and material flow.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to reduce waste and improve operational effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training documentation.
• Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes and report on performance trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-6 years of experience in an industrial engineering or operations engineering role.
• Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and basic simulation tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
