Industrial Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Industrial Operations Engineer to join their team in Reading . This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and overall performance of our manufacturing and operational processes. You will work directly on the shop floor and with various departments to analyze workflows, implement improvements, and ensure smooth operational execution. This position requires a practical, results-oriented approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to achieve operational excellence and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing operations to identify bottlenecks and areas for process improvement.
• Develop and implement solutions using lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Design and document optimized workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and management to implement process changes and improvements.
• Monitor production metrics, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for enhancement.
• Assist in the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Willingness to work on-site in Reading and engage directly with operational teams.
